According to New England Revolutions owner Jonathan Kraft, Revs midfielder Lee Nguyen has been called up to the United States squad for the upcoming international break.

Kraft, speaking on Boston’s 98.5 The Sport Hub, said that the 28-year-old Texan will be a part of Jurgen Klinsmann’s selection for next week’s friendlies against Ireland and Colombia.

Unfortunately for Nguyen, he may not be able to make it.

The Revs are still in the MLS playoffs, and pending their result against the Columbus Crew tonight – in which they already have a 4-2 road win and will just look to see the playoff round out – they will likely be moving on to the Eastern Conference finals. While nothing is confirmed, some are speculating at this point that Nguyen’s call-up will be contingent on the Revs’ playoff status, and if they remain in the battle, he won’t be in the squad.
